Gate animation - This animation shows the functioning of the mechanism that was used to hold the onion rings with the proper spacing between them. Ultimately three of these units were used.
On the right of this image you can see the rig consisting of a five slot plexiglass ramp with a small jump on the end. In the top right you can see the three gate mechanisms operated by three stepping motors.
